The SHARE THE CARE model provides a road map on how to take a group of ordinary individuals (comprised of friends, relatives, neighbors, coworkers, and acquaintances) and turn them into a "caregiver family" to provide individuals and families with the help they need to meet the daily challenges of caregiving.

Well Spouse Association (WSA)
A national, not for profit membership organization that gives support to wives, husbands, and partners of the chronically ill and/or disabled. CaringRoad is an Internet community for caregivers featuring information, personal stories, and advice. The Center for Family Caregivers and Denise Brown operate Tad Publishing Co., which produces books, newsletters and other materials for families and health care professionals who care for chronically ill or disabled family members.

The Family Caregiver Alliance
The lead agency in California's system of Caregiver Resource Centers and operates the National Center on Caregiving to advance the development of support programs for family caregivers in every state. For residents of the greater San Francisco Bay Area, FCA provides direct support services for caregivers of those with Alzheimer's disease, stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's and other debilitating brain disorders that strike adults.
